Kindness Costs Nothing

It’s easy to envy. Trying to locate an antidote
Been really trying to understand what my purpose is in life. Wondering why I am here.
Hustle culture would tell you it’s to make money.
Social media would tell you it’s to signal status.
Real people tell you it’s to enjoy your friends and family.
I am with whatever the 3rd option is, in the former and latter combo.
I am writing this on a flight back from New York. It was a trip I booked for myself, and I realize it was something I needed.
While I really like hustle culture for all the experiences it affords me. I always feel so behind. Which makes me feel so hollow. The constant comparison to 50 year olds having achieved their dreams. Or at least a good front of what their dreams are.
I am writing this in my notes app, because this post is due. And if the last few posts have said anything about my drive. They say it has been lacking. Lacking to write, or to be creative. Lacking to know my why.
Trying to relate to world that seems so divided. Maybe I am divided myself, and feel so conflicted. Whatever the case may be, I always feel better when I express gratitude.
So am I being kind to myself, and I extending that to others. Even when people don’t outwardly ask for it.
